So i have this bow i know nothing about. Seems the brand is "Bear"

Anyway it seems its unstrung , so i was wondering if there is anything i can do without it costing money. The pics show my problem. Is it worth fixing or should i throw it out?

Tag on the bow reads
Draw Length: 29
Draw Weight: 70
Amo Compound String Length: 84 1/8
Buss Cable Length: 34 3/4

String seems to be in a good condition. No tears or anything, it feels waxy and there are two loops at each end.

The part on the 4th picture shows a 1, 2 , and 3 on pegs. The otherside reads 546. No idea what this means ha.

I don't know if I would trust a "mystery" string on a compound bow.  Bad things can happen when they break.  Its kind of like picking up a reload laying on the ground at the range and firing it.

I forgot to mention this string came with the bow and was on the bow. At some point it came off

Strings and cables don't cost an arm and a leg.  Why not just take it to a bow shop for crying out loud.  Or put it up on Ebay if you don't want to spend a few dollars on it.

I used to unstring my old compound bow all the time.

Looks like it need sights and a rest also. expect to lay out some money on those items. You also might shit yourself when you see the cost of arrows. To get the most out of any bow it should be set up by a shop or a knowledgable shooter.

This local MC sports was closing and a friend bought it because it was on sale.

Is there anyway to restring it without tools?

Sure if you know how to route the cable and strings.  There are how-to's on the internet for making a bow press if you need one. (I didn't on my bow)

A bow shop will restring it for a minimal fee if any if you are buying accessories from them.

Check youtube for a how to on stringing and routing of that particular bow.  Do a search for that bow.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jbrviuhNfE
