AILD is fucking epic and them + Demon Hunter + Blessthefall was the most brutal show I've ever been to, but I'm not so sure they're metal. Metalcore sure. Goatwhore, on the other hand... definitely gotta see them early next month, they're playing with Black Dahlia Murder. Metal: Ghost Brigade - Suffocated (Melodoom? Sludge? Don't quote know) Isis - Threshold of Transformation (maybe post-metal, but I'm willing to call them prog metal. SO FUCKING PISSED I passed up their last tour, thinking "oh, I don't want to drive that far, they'll come around again." And then they broke up) Lamb of God - Set to Fail (groove metal) Scuurvy - Across the Seven Seas (Pirate metal) Swallow the Sun - The Morning Never Came (Death-doom metal). |

A friend and I were throwing a few back (ok I was shitfaced) at a bar in Detroit and playing a game of pool with two dudes from In Flames and we are bullshitting about Sweden and the USA, I was trying to be friendly, say the nice thing I had heard about their country, I mentioned guns and that was it... One dude started blurting out some anti gun dribble... I was glad I never liked them. |

| I know this is not much to go on but I heard a song a couple years back with these few lyrics. It went something like "In my Drop top Chevy" it would get real loud and then tone down. I'm not a metal guy but I cant get that song out of my head. Anyone have any idea what song I'm talking about? |
