The fact that you think it should be real is scary.... You still haven't answered my question, if the good guys kill all the bad guys, how is that Pyrrhic? Because you haven't I can only conclude that you are either foggy as to whether or not you yourself are a "good guy" or your critical thinking cannot grasp the simple concept that when good confronts and destroys evil, good does not become evil. To be sure of killing all the bad guys (because they aren't all on a list somewhere in the Pentagon), you would have to commit genocide on a unprecedented scale. The damage this would do to the world economy, and thus the people of the United States, would sure as hell make the victory Pyrrhic... If only that commonality existed. If only.... The more I think about it, there really should be some kind of study, or commission paid for with public funding to get a better handle on this strain of bad guy and what makes them tick, tick, tick. I think something like that, if we could only figure that out, that one....thing, that one...something, I don't know what to call it. But if we could just identify it, it might really be an aid in this whole WoT thing. If only... |

My warning, which I would give to the world, if I were President:
"A warning to all nations, all governments, and all citizens of every nation of the world: If America is attacked, if terrorism strikes in the streets of America, if a symbol of America is attacked, then there shall be swift and brutal retaliation. Whatever it is that those terrorists hold so dear, which is the motivation for their attack, shall become our target. If they should attack us for Islam, then we shall attack Islam in the most brutal way imaginable, by striking at the symbols and places that represent the very heart of Islam, a heart that we shall rip out. If they should attack in the name of Hugo Chavez of Venezuela, then Hugo Chavez will not be able to find a hole deep enough to hide in. If they should attack in the name of socialism, then we shall retaliates against the gathering places and organizers of socialist movements. In every instance, we shall strike back at the very heart of the cause that an attacker supports. We shall do so without regard for civilian casualties. We shall ensure that we do more harm to our attackers than they can do to us. But we shall be sure of our movements, taking all the time necessary to ensure that our vengeance is not misdirected. And when there is no doubt, then vengeance shall fall upon the guilty with the force of nuclear weapons. A word specifically for those people who have positions of great power and responsibility among other governments: Watch over your people with a careful eye. If your country plays host to those who would execute terrorist attacks on America, or harbor those who would execute such an attack, then your country shall bear the scars of our vengeance should such an attack on us actually be carried out. Vigilance on your part will help you to avoid bearing our wrath." Put simply...we hold your government responsible for your actions. If you commit terrorism, your government and your country and your religion, if involved, will be the subject of our retaliation. CJ |
