Without being jailbroken?

My fiance and I are going to Florida next weekend and would like to have internet on her laptop without paying absurd resort fees for high-speed internet. We both got in on unlimited data plans while they still had them.

And if not, what is the danger, if any, of jailbreaking your phone?

OS 4 has tethering built in.

I thought I heard that...how does one use it? I don't see it under my settings but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I have OS4 but I'm running it on a 3G, FWIW.

I have 3Gs version. I dumped my cable Internet service and jailbroke my phon and downloaded the MYWI app. Now the speeds are no where close to cable but I don't have a 70 dollar bill anymore from comcast either. For me I'd rather save the money and do without the speed.

I guess I'll have to jailbreak.

You can't use the built-in tethering if you have unlimited data.
