The day after I comment on the collapsing of the international markets and the Dow, things pick up substantially in the black.

I have never seen the markets with such volatility as I have seen them in the last 1-2 years.

Are only speculators left doing the trading?

Nope.

been covered before:

Insider trading, hedge funds manipulating demand, massive 15+ month straight cash outflows from "retail" equity funds; high frequency trading and algo "crashes," not to mention blatant propagandizing of the "Recovery" via the main stream media.   It's a farce, and has been obviously so since 2008 at a minimum.   The computers trading with each other is making it doubly worse.

Only the Big Boys are making money in this market as "technicals" seem to no longer apply.

Exactly correct. I trade INTC from '08 until I gave up with the losses. Many stocks right now have nothing to do with the underlying company and how its doing. The aggregate of the economy is taking precedence
