Would anyone besides me be interested in one of these? What are the chances someone could whip up something  that would send push notifications on subscribed threads.

I would also love to see that for those of us that use Android.

They have a mobile site that loads quickly. That is what I use.

if we could control which subscriptions to push that'd be cool.

Just push your emails, and have ar15.com set up to email notify subscribed threads by default.

And Perfect Browser browses the full ar15.com site fine.  You don't even have to bother with mobile.

The full site loads fast on mine, but I still have to dig through a bunch of stuff the check to find what I want to find, if it was the mobile site with push notifications that would go strait to what ever notification that'd be perfect.

I use the full site. As to the email thing, I'd rather not have 30 emails a day to clutter up my inbox, I already thought of that

There's a dropdown on the post page that selects your email notification preference for that thread.

Alternately, have email notifications sent to a phone-specific address.

iphone ap would be great!

Yes, that would be great. This would make it far easier to follow subscribed threads on a phone. It's a bit clunky now.

I thought Wired was full of shit when they predicted the decline of the web this month, but maybe they are right.  Why does everyone need an application for a web discussion forum?

No it's real.  It's an icon that takes you to arfcom.  That's all an app needs to be.

I'd like to see an app as well to manage my IMs, subscriptions, and maybe my EE watch items.

Not really, you can make a website (in this case Arfcom Mobile) into an "App" Ie: instant launch icon.

I have the same icon, it takes me to ARFCOM (regular site). The ONLY issue I have is that I can't upload a picture to my arfcom photo account from my iphone.

Aside from that, it's just like I was surfing from my laptop.

I wouldn't be interested because I don't use push notifications but for the people that do, it would be pretty neat!

Are you kidding me? Think of all the shopping you could do with your wife WHILE surfing Arf.
