Does anyone know of any targets that are made with red dot sights specifically in mind. I think a target could be made that would increase the shooters ability to get tighter groups when using the red dot type sights. I've done something like that myself, and it helped me tremendously, but maybe it was just me and the way I shoot, ( my eyesight being what it is ).  I have about this for some time. Many of us shoot our rifles with red dots and don't have, or use a scope to sight it in, or to check for accuracy in ammo, or in working up  hand loads for accuracy. I recently sold my scope, so this subject is on my mind.

What I did before was to take a white paper plate, and use a two inch diameter circle with a quarter sized black dot in the center ( used a can of something, can't remember ) and sprayed black paint around it until it covered the majority of the plate. Take that out to 100 yards and a 1 moa red dot, ( I use an eotech ) is easy center inside of it. You see just enough white to keep it perfectly centered. I can't seem to do that consistently with just black targets, and the red stickers bleed out of course. You could do a 5 moa circle for a 4 moa dot or 3 for a 2 moa one. If someone made them, or if someone could make a printer friendly version that could be printed off, it would help. I know that it reduces the size of my groups by half over a standard target. I was wondering if anyone else had done this.

I'm gonna try it out.  Thanks.

I use 1" Orange Stickers on the target. One each over the cranio-ocular and thorasic cavities.

Aim Small, Miss Small.

I agree with the aim small miss small idea, but with red/orange stickers at 100 - 300 yards the dot will disappear.

Just got a Bushnell Trophy Red Dot today to try out on my 22 bolt rifle for short distance shooting.  It works great at 10-15 yards on those silhouette splatter targets.
