So much drama, politics, trolling and nonsense in the GD...

Time for a thread where people can just enjoy what they're seeing.

As the subject says –– enjoy.

I was tempted to post a comment along the lines that, if anything needed to be adjusted in that picture, it was to remove me from it.

I am by and far the ugliest thing in it.

I see we were thinking the same thing

Crandel Canyon Mine rescue in Aug of 2007. This was taken the morinng after the 3 rescuers where killed in a secondary collapse.
The small speci at the convergence of the mountians is the main mine entrance.
Only time in my life I thought there may be a god of sorts.

I was part fo the bore hole drilling operations on top of the mountain. I was there for 24 days and slept in a tent.
Showered once a week if we were lucky. Vary humbling experience and gave me faith in humanity.
People from all around Price, Hunington Utah gave all they could even when they couldnt pay their own electric bill
the ensure the rescue effort had all they needed.

Elevation was approximatly 10,500 ft.

Very nice photos.

I might head up to Hatcher's Pass this weekend to pick blueberries, and if I do I'll be sure to bring back pictures.

MAH, you have any pictures from Mount Evans?  I left my camera at the hotel when I did the climb.  Had to save weight for insulation for the ride down the mountain...needed it a half mile past the tree line.  Hypothermia and oxygen deficit suck bawlz.

Regarding those pics of Yosemite...

I have rarely been filled with as much jealousy as when reading about the men who first settled there.  There is no place on earth I know of quite like it.

Its hard to explain it to people who have never been either.. I call it "concentrated awesomeness".

I am rather fond of the the rest of the sierras as well.  I have almost completed the entire john muir trail, as well as a mess of other hikes in the sierras.

and one more pic.. the view from the tunnel as you enter!
