I don't have the patience to watch 9 minutes of that guy walking back and forth, does he say what kind of ammo it is? How many rounds since it was last lubricated?

No.  At the end he shows the BCG broken down, says he fired 500 rounds or so.  Doesn't give any details.

Not to mention shooting a weapon, especially one which is malfunctioning, with no safety glasses.

I got tired of the guy saying "misfeed" over and over again.

Just my two cent but those rounds looked like reloads due to the discoloration of them. But what do I know?

Looked like reglaur bulk military rounds.  Most m855 or m163 have cases looking like that.  Its from the annealing process.

I was more interested in his truck or SUV , could quite ID it but it looks familiar . Found it , a newer FJ .
He said 500-600 rounds since he cleaned it or something along that lines at the end.
On another vid he is says he is shooting American eagle ammo

He apparently makes good money and likes to vid himself alot lol   so the next question is what is his screen name?

I handled an ACR in Florida a few weeks back in a store.

Sorry, but I don't see what the hubbub (or the price) is about.

Operator Error.

So let me get this right... it malfunctions... and continues to malfunction and he doesn't even try to fix it after the first 2 or 3 times by breaking it down and taking a look? Looks to be an extractor issue. Take it down, work on it, and be back up within 5 min.

Not even that, his clearing skills suck.

The hubbub is due to the ridiculous price.

The price is what you get when you contract out to a company that sounds like they should be selling plants.

At least it looks easy to clear

I've never had a FTE on an M16/AR with another round going into the chamber.  When it rarely happens I've been able to just clear the FTE and I'm GTG.

It's difficult to come to a conclusion with the lack of info. Factory ammo or reloads? I think he mentioned a possible mag related failure at some point, have you used the mag or mags in a another gun?

I can't see 500 rounds without cleaning being an issue, hell its a wondergun last I heard.

My main thought was, especially in light of the fact that he was videoing himself, that he looked and sounded a bit like the "Survivorman" dude (Les Stroud).

Considering that he is filming it and holding the ejection port up to the camera for every malfunction, what makes you think his clearing skills suck?

If you spent as much on a 1911 as you did the ACR I doubt you'd have the same issues as a bargain basement 1911.

If I bought a $2300 1911, I'd have a 1911 that works as well as a $400 glock.

I'd like to know what gas setting he had it on.  All of those failures could have been contributed to having the gas too low/underpowered ammunition.

thats the thing.  there are a ton of possibilities.  If  you are going to bother making a video like this, at least provide us with some details.  For all we know he made the extractor himself out of a frosty spoon from wendy's
