Mrs A3kid was asking me that question the other night.  I've got a list of friends I can't wait to meet, Emily Jo is all fired up about meeting ColtShorty's daughter, but my wife doesn't know more than a handful of people - and no women.

If you're planning on bringing your wife or "significant other" let me know.  I'd like Josie to have a chance to email, snail mail, or phone contact some people, so she's got a female friend or two to look forward to meeting.

Come on men - help me out here....

do i count?  i won't be a wife yet, but how does fiancee status strike ya?

fire off an email and i'll be glad to give her my contact info.

if she'll feel more comfortable that way, i'd love to help her out.

ps.  don't let the screen name fool ya.  this is ARlady in disguise.  [:D]

Ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha,ha![:D]

Now why in the heck would I bring Miz Hun to a Black Rifle Convention 685 miles away from our home?

She refuses to even go to the local gun shows in Dallas/Ft.Worth because they're 'icky'!

Nope, it would wind up that neither of us would have a very good weekend!

That's just how she is folks!

Besides which, I've told her that most of our time will be taken up in classrooms with all day seminars!

Right?

IF I make it.  I don't have a wife, so perhaps I could take someone elses.  (Extensive screening first!) [:D]

OK, I have to ask.  I presume your current screen name is a date.  Is something scheduled for that date?

If that's a wedding date my user ID would be: 10192002. Sweetest Day... everyone will be crying. [>Q]

Anyway, the BRC is a road trip for the guys. We are all leaving our fiances at home.

Which is probably more dangerous than being somewhere with hundreds of guns! [:D]

yes, it's the wedding date.  there's another thread going around (though probably buried by now) that explained why my screen name changed.  anyhow, when i was changing i couldn't think of anything.  i looked around the office for ideas, and had some wedding info sitting out.  voila!  the idea was born.

Zeny's comin' with me.  She and I will be making lumpia, and bringing San Miguel beer for those fortunate few that I've come to consider good friends, here.  I may have to wind up working the registration table or some such, but WE ARE GOING!  It's getting to be time to either poop or unass the can.

Lumpia? Damn, and I can't make it to the convention.  I haven't had good lumpia in 33 years.

I will be bringing my wife.

She shot a 1" group with my Rem. 700 PSS .308 with her second set of 5.  She is also proficient with my M4 and is learning the fine art of firing her 12 gauge and .380.

My daughter and son will be with their grandparents during BRC so that we can enjoy some quality adult time.  I am sure that one or both will show up at future BRC's.

Hey, kids, that's during archery season for deer.  Matt, if you bowhunt you will be forever with a ticked off wife for missing anniversaries.  Mine is Jan. 16, the day after the season closes.  [;)]

he doesn't.  and even if he did, he could miss one day.  besides, i'm flexible.  if the anniversary falls in the middle of the week, say on a Thursday or something, i'm perfectly okay with exchanging "Happy Anniversary, Dear" on that day and then postponing any of the celebratory activities until the weekend.

I got married Oct 11th 1991!  Still going strong.  Even if I am an occational jerk.  She's not going to the BRC though.  She has no real interest in firearms.  I'd almost say I need to work on that, but she already knows what hobbies she likes.

Did I say "Congrats!!!!".  Not to you so much as the lucky guy.  [:D]  Okay, to you as well!
