One year with Time Warner cable and the intro offer lapsed. New bill is $50.00 more a month for bundled cable/roadrunner for a grand total of $134.46.
I figure I can call, wheel and deal a bit to get it to a more respectable level but they are playing hardball. Offered 10% off just the cable charge, nothing close to the intro offers available. So I call Direct TV. Can get just the cable for $44.99 / month, but they recommend that I keep the internet through TW because, and I quote, "Quest isn't very good and is the only other provider in your area." So it looks like I will be switching to DirectTV for a year and then back to Time Warner for their promo offer, and then back to DirctTV........ Why can't they just have normal rates all the time, or at least offer comparable prices to existing customers!! Kind of a pain in the ass to go back and forth every year, but it can save me $600.00 a year. Anyone else do this dance between companies? Anyone work for TW that can hook a brother up?
