There's no cold air coming out of my Central Air system, does anyone have any idea why?, I'm roasting here.  It seems to be functioning fine, the fan spins, and air comes out of the ducts, but it's not cold.  Could I just need more coolant?, how much does that cost on average?

Go outside and look at the A/C.  Is there ice all over it or ice on the copper lines?

When was the last time you changed your filter??

Mine does that every year on start up.  It was fixed under warranty for the past 3 years. It had bad valves that allowed the coolent leakout over winter. This is the 1st year it worke on start up and blows cold air. Finally fixed it right. Mine is a Goodman unit.

Yeah, alot of people don't wrap the pump down valves when they go to braze the line set in and melt the gaskets in the valves. Then the dumb asses tighten the shraeder valve caps on to tight and then you can get the shraeders out because they mashed in the flare fitting. Never ceases to amaze me.
