Just a little while ago a thread of mine was locked.
The person who locked it deleted the last post to hide their identity. I'm not the boldest or bravest, but I was straight forward in expressing my thoughts on an important but controversial topic. What does it say about someone that they would lock the thread in anonymity? A very unmanly act for this site. I'm annoyed at this. If the "locker" was man enough to identify himself and say, "This is why I locked your thread" it would be one thing. However, I'm righteously ticked at this turn of events. Somebody needs a stern talking to. Correction: Aimless is not a weasel. |

I locked it and deleted the lock message because I stuck the http code for the thread in there instead of the lock message and did not get arounmd to fixing it before the tears started because I had a client come into my office and the internet connection here is wacky today. Sorry about that, but this over reaction is a bit juvenile |

Sorry about that, but this over reaction is a bit juvenile OK, my assumption of why the lock message was absent was wrong. I apologize for that. All I know is what I see on the screen, so that absence of information led me to an incorrect conclusion. Again, I apologize. What was the reason for the lock? It was a post that was meant to be informative, not to recklessly throw a bomb into the site. Everything in it was factual. It may have challenged some perceptions, but was not intended as trolling. |

Huh, my second post in this thread was the one my computer locked up on. I don't think the text of your thread, that islam is a culture/legal system, not just a religion is a violation. Your title could have been worded better. There was a crack about towelheads in there and a comment that christianity is not a religion that I locked it over. |

I would agree with everything you posted, old buddy. But Staff has spoken. It's over. Smile and go on with life. Edited to add: Look on the bright side.........Aimless had a customer. Maybe he can buy some ammo and finally go shooting. |

That kind of talk is just ignorant. I was in the midst of posting a reply to show the fallacy of the "Christianity is not a religion" analogy when the lock came. Could we get it unlocked to try and get it back between the lines? Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease? Then again, it probably wouldn't take long for stupidity to show up again. |

Seems like a sound argument to me, not to mention lots of radio commentators say the same thing. Oh well. |

It was 82nd.........said so at the top of the OP. Do you mean the bar that ends with "AUG 2nd?"
You had me going there! At the time I was just finishing my 1st cup of coffee.
You get a pass for posting in a caffeine deficit. I've said some dumb things before the coffee kicked in. Come to think of it, I've said dumb stuff when I'm awake too.
