going with the freebies at the moment, otherwise, i'd just use vbulletin.

pick one and explain why, (in regards to admin control)

smf or phpbb3

I used to use PHPBB for the site i ran, XGameFusion.com. (thus the XGF in my name)

I loved the PHPBB boards.

I am going to second phpBB3, I run it on my site and it works great.

you guys have used smf?

trying to decide which one i want to run, but i don't have any first hand knowledge of the admin side of either.
