So I'm moving and I call DN to set up cancellation of my account for August 5. But, pudding boy jackwagoneer fucking cancels my service this morning. So I call them up and explain the situation............We need $200 + up front to restart the service. |

Quoted: IT's TV, don't take it so seriously ![]() It's not about TV. It's about customer service. It's about a company messing up a longtime customer's account and then not making it right. Especially since it does not cost them a damn cent to just hit the couple keyboard keys to turn the service back on. |

I just haet dish because every fucking time it rains in this damn state the fucking signal shits out.
To perform a thread hijack, I also hate Dish for the following reason (Even though it was not their fault) The wife and I took a camping trip over a long weekend, apprently over that same time we had a new set of neighbors move into our duplex townhouse thing we lived in. We come back to no TV service (DirecTV). I call, no outage reported, they attempt to re boot the box on their side, no luck. I finally go outside, look on the roof, and discover that my FUCKING DISH IS GONE and their is a brand new Dish Network HD Reciever on my neighbors roof. I politley interrogate said neighbor about his installation, and the guy that didn't speak english apparently spoke enough to ask him if he wanted the old dish or to trash it, the neighbor didn't want it. So here I am, no dish, DirecTV says they would be happy to charge me for the installation of a new one and Dish will not even give me the goddam information for the contractor who stole my fucking (rented) property. I get their information from the reciept my neighbor provided, they came out about 3 fucking days later and reinstalled my dish, even gave me $30 cash to cover my days of no service, pretty classy. You know what, fuck all satellite TV companies...and fuck Cox Cable in AZ too...but that's a whole 'nother fucking story. |
| i hate DISH .....one of the remotes went out and they wanted $30 + $15 shipping.....so i said ill deal without the remote and just use the box....went on ebay and bought a brand new remote for $6 which included shipping.....3 days later a box from dish showed up with a new remote and a $45 charge to my account.... i called and called and could not get ahold of anybody with enough common sense to resolve the issue....ended up writing a letter and sending the remote back...it has been 2 months now with no reply and the $45 charge still on my account.... i dont think Al Queda has a word for "refund".... |

That's weird –– I've worn out several remotes over the years and all it ever took was a call to get a replacement at no charge. ![]() |
