I am trying to decode a vin number on a bike frame that I just picked up. All of the vin decoders that I have found will only decode a 17 digit vin. Does anyone know of anyplace that i can decode a 9 digit vin? This thing is most likely from the 70's.

Any pre-17 digit VINs didnt follow any federal guidlines. You will most likely have to go to the manufacturer to decode it, unless you can find an old shop manual for it.
