He's a Democrat now right? That may actually be awesome! Bloomberg vs. Obama in the primaries, with an already fragmented left wing? Let the games begin! That's what Rush said about Obama, guess the result? Bloomberg is the planets biggest gun grabber and would try to ban firearms two seconds after he's sworn in.

BUSH DESTROYED THE ECONOMY!!!" factor from the illiterate morons with voting registration cards and you have to consider the fact that McCain was a weak candidate to begin with. Also, while I'd never want Bloomberg in the White House, the president can't just up and ban guns. |

bloomburg is now an independent So is he talking about running as an independent then, or for one of the major nominations? Who would his base be? He wouldn't make it past Iowa as a Republican, and I don't think he'd attempt a coup de main in the Democratic Party (which he couldn't do.) He could run as a self-financing Independent, but he'd only siphon vote Democrat votes in a few none key areas...I suppose if he really did it, he could get enough votes to put NY, CA and FL in legitimate play, which would bankrupt both of the major parties. |

Quoted: Quoted: bloomburg is now an independent That could be to our advantage... split the vote and allow a Republican to get the majority. Not so sure it would work out that way. Plenty of O'Reily watchers that consider Bloomberg as a "conservative" independent. I think he could be more of a spoiler in splitting the R vote (ala Perot) then you would think. |
