At cabelas and in the bargin cave the have a eotech 512 for 340. I checked it out and the rectile is a little fuzzy. Is this normal?  If it isn't what kind of warranty does eotech have?  The case still have the registration papers in it so it hasn't been register with them yet. Good buy?

I did end up buying it, it came out to be 350ish.  It must have been the lighting inside the store and room i was in because outside it is much better.

my rectile is a little fuzzy as well.  not really a problem, just have to make sure you wipe it extra well.

People with certain eye problems will see it fuzzy (astigmatism?)

Mine appears a little that way as well. I seriously think thats just the way they are. The outer ring is likely what you are referring to, it seems that it appears like that when you have the brightness set higher than need be. Back the brightness down to where it is clearly visible but not glaring red. The center precision dot always seems to be a clear pinpoint on my 553.  I don't think this is a real concern, as the outer circle is just a quick aquisition target ring, you shouldn' be focusing on the reticle anyway, you should be focusing on your target. Try looking through it, focusing on a distant object instead of looking at the reticle. Thats what its made for, it shouldn't appear an issue when looked at that way.

try focusing on an object through the sight.  the reticle won't be fuzzy anymore...

It's rectile dysfunction.

You have to look through the sight like it's not there.  Focus on your target and the reticle will become clear.

edit: ya that's a good price,  if it is broke the warranty will fix it.

focus on the target, not on the reticle.
