Damn, my bottle of Knob Creek is nearly empty and I'm too buzzed to go buy another. Shit, if it weren't such a long drive, I'd invite you over to share mine. Then again, that would mean less for me. Get your own bottle. ETA: I've been saying for years, a man could make a fortune starting a booze delivery service. |

I'm sure the delivery drivers would make bank on tips too. |

Did you know that .22 Shorts (standard velocity) in the kids' single shot rifle is even quieter than .22LR Subsonic in my suppressed 10/22, and way quieter than my .177 air rifle?
Neither did I, and it's a good thing, because I would hate to be tempted to try it on pigeons in my own yard. |

Water eliminates first round pop with CCI Standard Velocity, too. |

They would delivery anything, anywhere, so long as it was legal. Don't know if he ever made a fortune, but he always had some nice toys. |

I share your pain, we should move from our Gun hating states.
Wish I could have one. But I live in Commiefornia. Sounds like a great idea. We're really on a roll down here lately. a few more conservative, gun toters around here and it could be epic. |

Ok, I just went and picked up a fifth of Baker's. I'm happier now. I had to Google it as I haven't seen it around here. Maybe I'll order a bottle when I get some money. These guys have it for $21 right now. ETA: I imagine there are a lot of good whiskeys in your neck of the woods. |

There was one when I was at FSU. Some dude drove his van around with "I deliver anything" and his number on the side. We would call him up tell him what we want and boom, he would show up. booze, food and pretty much anything else (legal). he charged anywhere from 5-20 bucks depending on what it was and where you lived. |

Definitely good stuff. And yeah, we've got a pretty good selection around here. All of the genuine Kentucky Bourbon distilleries are within driving distance. |

I have one of those cheapass spring piston Chinese air rifles that used to be seen at fairs and tool sales for $20. The air rifle is quite a bit louder than CBs. Good thing too-backyard pest problem and mere mortals can't have suppressors... |

HAHAHHAHA
Here mear mortal can have supressed, but I use my Gammo air gun with all it's noise. Yes the CB's are quieter but the tree hugger neighbors like to call the County Police. While where I live the .22 is legal, a air gun has zero restrictions. BTW corn fed pigeon breast tastes like dove. |

HAHAHHAHA . BTW corn fed pigeon breast tastes like dove. I'll take your word for it. Doves aren't a legal game species in IA. As for pigeon, I've heard they taste good if they were healthy when shot, and according to bird books I have seen what we typically call "pigeon" is actually a rock dove so tasting like dove makes sense. |

That's what I've heard, too. I'm not so sure about the health of the ones around here, though. Even if they were healthy, they've gotta be full of some pretty nasty stuff. There's just too much gross stuff in the city. These guys would probably taste like 10W40. I'll stick to wild dove and quail out in the boonies. Until the zombies come anyway. |

The only difference between a dove and a pigeon is size, generally speaking. We call large doves pigeons. Pigeons actually make very good pets. They're quiet, mild mannered, and not very messy. Especially when compared to any bird in the parrot family. However, the problem with pigeons is that there are usually a LOT of them. Put a lot of good sized birds together in a flock and you will have a mess-making machine. Squab is considered a delicacy. It's a young pigeon. CJ |

I've been tempted many times to try eating one-if the S ever does HTF it's one more source of meat that I know for sure whether it tastes good. Shit, I want to try coyote for the same reason. There are very few animals that I'm not curious what they taste like. My rules are they must be legal to kill in the location they were killed and be properly cooked. After that I'll try just about anything once.As for the "OMG that would be gross" idea, after Rocky Mountain Oysters I lost most of that thinking. |
