No offense- I'm sure you'll get it to work- but I have sworn off "upgrading" MS OS's. Get the full version. My hate for "upgrades" started from windows 95 from 3.x and encompasses every other major piece of software I have to deal with since then- including SolidWorks (every damn year). |

Just do another install. It moves all the old files to Windows.old anyway. |

Bad memory? or board.. called dell and pretended to be my friend.. they are sending a tech to install a new board and memory..i was surprised.. only took 3 min for them to do that I'd do some googling to see if there is a rash of HW failures of that specific mobo. It might give you some idea of the underlying issue. For them to conclude 'bad board' that quickly tells me they've seen similar failures before... |
