| What do you think of Pablo Escobar? |
|
I chose Scum Bag.
I will however note that Pablo fought the most successful anti communist counter insurgency in history in Colombia. He used to drop money and bounty posters of communist sympathizers out of airplanes over soccer stadiums. Within a Few months Colombia's Communist insurgency problems were over. Not to return until Pablo's death and the Obama hugging Chavez government next door. |

Quoted:
He's a hero. Despite raviging a country with terror, drugs, violence, poverty and corruption he would sometimes donate a small amount of drug money to a struggling community in the countryside. Whatever possible redemption may lie in his scattering of pittance among the downtrodden he helped create, it is summarily outweighed by the literally thousands of citizens, police, judges and soldiers killed by his fiat. He was another Hitler, except with better supplies of money. He roasts in Hell; deservedly so. |

I'm glad he's dead. If we only legalized drugs this guy could still be alive. No he would have just made his fortune in illegal gambling or prostitution instead. Or worse in politics...
So you're saying he could have been president of the US? |

Uh, okay. Kind of like the extortionist thug from the Black Hand that is seen walking the streets in Godfather II.

He was a bad ass scumbag..
He was an evil murderer, but certainly a bad ass. Anyone willing to go from nothing to a drug power house has some serious balls and probably major mental issues. Thing is the American people and government empowered him. Legalize drugs and he would never have gotten the power he did or as many people die at his hand. |
| He was a murderous thug, and unfortunately in order to get him "Los Pepes" had to resort to the same, cutthroat tactics. That being said, when they showed the Escobar family, and how scared they were when Los Pepes were murdering them in cold blood, I really didn't feel sorry for them...... |

Those who chose "Bad Ass", probably that think Che was a swell guy...
Plenty of Bad ass bad guys out there ..You can be a bad ass and be an evil worthless son of a bitch But, was he personally a badass or is it that he could afford to hire badasses? I think the latter. |
