Getting ignored really gets to you, huh? Didn't you read the op? I can't tell if I've been ignored or not. If I had been ignored I would not be bothering with this thread (duh). Doesn't it strike you as odd that facebook doesn't TELL you that your friend request has been ignored, or rebuffed or whatever? As I said, it just went back to saying "add as friend" on her page. WTF? This encourages people to repeatedly try to add people as friends because they don't even know they were ignored. |

Facebook doesn't notify you in the case of being ignored to avoid any hurt feelings and all that other crap. |

Facebook doesn't notify you in the case of being ignored to avoid any hurt feelings and all that other crap. So they'd rather people be confused and possibly hit the "add as friend" button again? I know women who, whenever the computer doesn't give them an instant answer, they keep hitting the same button over and over. No wonder I hate facebook. More idiotic programming. |

you got ignored. I have friend srequests from months ago that I haven't decided whether to add. make up your mind already mr.self important ![]() ![]()
Facebook has revamped itself 10-12 times or something - at one point it was/(still is?) possible to revoke friend requests. If I could tell someone logged into their profile and ignored my request, I revoked it. You know me or you don't. Simple as that. I knock on a door, and if I don't get an answer? What lies behind it is not of my concern. I then deny them entry to mine
Actions have consequences, so does voting present ![]() ![]()

. Oh but hell, you can narrow the search by school http://img513.imageshack.us/img513/1771/rolleyescp7.gif as if everyone is a schoolkid. Facebook is for college kids. Are you that dense? Of course you can search by school. When it was first released, you could only sign up using a school address. |

Quoted: Facebook has a "discreetly ignore" function. This changes the "awaiting confirmation" to "add as friend". Basically, she doesn't like you, and she's scared as fuck what would happen if she openly told you no. And judging by OP's calm reaction, I cannot imagine why ![]() |

I have sent friend requests to people that aren't on Facebook very often and then months later they accept. I still have a couple that have been in the "awaiting" status for over six months. |
