So how exactly can you defend against an attack like that? Seems like it makes a tank kind of useless if you can just take it out with one of those so easily. I'm not too sure our "enemies" have much of that gear. I could be wrong. Saddam sure as hell didn't. |

check this fire and forget goodness. They can use reactive armor all the want. This one can strike from the top.

That's the killing point of all Russian designed tanks; their ammo storage is in a rotating magazine under the turret, which is unarmored. Western tanks, like the M1 Abrams, Challenger Mk2, Leclerc and Leopard series tanks store their ammo at the rear of the turret in an armored vault, designed to explode away from the crew compartment. and of course, the weak point of ANY tank is the seam between the turret and the hull; we learned that quick in GW1, where all the Iraqi armor we hit ended up with a catastrophic turret launch.   |
