So how exactly can you defend against an attack like that? Seems like it makes a tank kind of useless if you can just take it out with one of those so easily. I'm not too sure our "enemies" have much of that gear. I could be wrong. Saddam sure as hell didn't. |

check this fire and forget goodness. They can use reactive armor all the want. This one can strike from the top. ETA: and this one. |

You might get a mobility kill by taking out a track, or blow up the ammo storage, but the crew will probably survive and start shooting back. New missiles, like the Javelin, attack from the top, where most tanks have very thin armor and little or no reactive tiles. That's very effective, but also makes the missile much, much more complex. The best way, though, is to keep them from ever being fired by screening with dismounted infantry. |
