Get the plugin Xmarks.

It stores your bookmarks online so all you need to have is firefox and the xmark plugin on each computer.  It automatically syncs your bookmarks on each computer with xmarks.
Bookmark something on your laptop, walk over to your desktop and open up the bookmark you just made.

I've never actually used it for this purpose but imagine you're 1000 miles from home.

You want to show something to someone who is home.  You bookmark the site on your laptop.  You call or email or otherwise tell the person to go to the bookmark that is now in the bookmarks drop down on that computer.

Big +1 for this. I have this for all my computers... work/home/laptop/desktop, etc. It's awesome. Also allows you to synch between Firefox, IE, etc. So on one computer you can synch between all your browsers as well.
