I use it quite a bit and so do many of the police officers in my town.
You can hand out your phone number - that you pick - out to everyone. My number is set to take messages only - it does not ring any of my phones. I never get bothered by the general public calling my phone. Officers can use it to forward phone calls to their personal cell or issued cells. No worries about somebody getting your private number. Pick a phone number Select which phones (cell, office, home, etc, any or all of the above) you want the number to ring to You can set up which calls go to which phones, and at which time of day. For example: Family calls go to all phones Work calls go only to office, cell, whatever you want. During certain hours they only go to voicemail Easy and effective way to set up a "work line" you can hand out, especially if you use your cell for everything and dont want to give out your cell number. |
