To the posters above: I don't think ya'll understand how we do lifted trucks in the South: If it doesn't look like this, it's not a big truck. http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab182/jsposato-1527/croptedtruck.jpg We don't care about a high center of gravity The truck in my avatar is my old truck. Here's a bigger shot of it. http://debo75.smugmug.com/Other/Random/Calendar-094/489589189_Gaksr-L.jpg The tracks were originally designed for snow, but they work well in the mud. Quoted: You CAN be street legal with Rockwells, but that truck is a trailer queen. Those tires are about $1200.... each.Quoted: *SNIP* Street legal with Rockwells? In FL we have laws on bumper height, and he'd never get away with something like that. That truck gets towed to the mudhole on a gooseneck like the one in my pic. |

This hits all the pleasure centers in my brain. A friend sent me this pic, I haven't been able to find out anything about it, which is surprising because usually I'm a google ninja. Does anyone here know what the story is with this thing? http://debo75.smugmug.com/Other/Random/Barret10/904071488_iBED4-M.jpg My best guess would be a down-south nighttime hog-hunting rig. Mattracks for the fields and swamps, put the client up top with the pintle AR and lights... BACON, BABY! |

*snip* Welcome to big gay truck land!!! The thing is, Florida doesn't have rocks like Tellico or dunes like Pismo, so we make do with what we've got. And that's mud. Lots and lots of mud. At least I don't have truck-nuts on any of mine.
I know, I am a rock crawler so I have to sling shit at all the big trucks.. It's my job.. Truck nuts? I thought that fad went away, are you telling me folks still do that? |

Still a big fan of the Gator 4x6. |
|
Original vehicle is a Kubota RTV900, Diesel, 4x4 liquid cooled. 3 range HST Trans, hydraulic bed lift. Power steering.
Tracks are probably MAttracks assemblies. Other doodads were welded/fabbed. I sell these vehicles for a living, not with the tracks and racks and stuff, but the base unit, from Kubota. |
