Whoever it was that got the idea to combined fruit, yogurt and ice in a blender was a fucking genius! He was greater inventor than Ford or Edison, a more fearless explorer  than Columbus or Armstrong and unlocked more secrets than Currie or Hawking!

All hail the smoothie!

The real genius is the one who took the smoothie and marketed as a meal replacement and charged 5 bucks for it.

Hawking never unlocked anything except his wallet to pay for hookers. . . . .

I counter that he was an idiot! He took a perfectly good mixed drink, and removed the alcohol from it!

I don't use ice, yogurt is a little tart for me.....banana, pineapple, strawberry, blueberry, shot of orange juice, shot of milk, and occasionally some crushed coconut or cinammon.....probably should start adding protein powder to it...

Good stuff. I make one just about every other night for the wife and I.

Some favorites are:

- 2 babnanas, couple scoops plain vanilla yogurt, splash of skim milk, peanut butter and an instant oatmeal packet.

- babnana, strawberry, plain vanilla yogurt, orange juice, 5-6 ice cubes

There's literally thousands of combinations you can come up with. Fresh fruit is a must. +1 on the protein powder. You can also add wheat germ.

1 cup  of your favorite frozen fruit + 1 cup of your favorite flavor yogurt + 1 cup of your favorite juice = 3 cups of breakfast

Peanut butter sounds interesting....I assume it breaks down to a drinkable consistency...
