Anybody ever use any of this stuff? |
At first I was . Then he said we could continue on, that someone half mile away was complaining that their pictures were shaking in their house when we shot it off, but we weren't breaking any laws. I was |

That was great. You can hear a car alarms go off right after the blast! |
|
I have a video somewhere of a bunch of little kids at a machinegun shoot racing to see who could tag the little 1" wide bottles at the 100M line The tiny little girl behind her dad's1919 got almost all of em. Used the T&E like she'd been doing it all her life. The boy with the MG42 was giving her a run for her money but couldn't control it well enough.
Rosie's head would explode like a can of tannerite if she ever saw that video. Kids had HUGE grins on their faces.
Tannerite kicks ass. |

Do be careful with it. Anything loose will come flying off and become deadly projectiles as the refrigerator video shows. We had the hood of a junk car go flying 100 feet up in the air, luckily it went straight up and got caught in the trees rather than towards the shooting line. After that we made sure to remove things like hubcaps and radiator fans and used less tannerite just to be safe. |

What kind of explosives handling permits do you have to have to work with this stuff? Don't need any, you mix it on site and use it there on the shooting range. Unless there is some state law that prohibits it in your state. I thought in Texas it was a county by county issue, I dont think it is legal to use everywhere in Texas. Please correct me if I am wrong, I have tried finding a ruling or precedent on this but havent found anything, just people stating things on the internet. |

Maybe, we used it on private land in Robertson County. The LE there didn't have any issues with it and they did get told in advance there would be big booms. |

Where is the best place to but tannerite? I found a few on a Google search but I didn't see any 1/4 pounders on anyones site like someone said they ordered. Well here of course on arfcom, best deal around with lots of EE feed back. Best place to buy tannerite |

I bought a case of this a while back and took it down to a buddy's farm to shoot. We were about 1/4 of a mile form his house when we shot the first 1lb bottle I had mixed up. Within 20 seconds of shooting it his cellphone rang!
His wife wanted to know "What the hell was that?" She was on the phone with her mother and her mother heard it thru the phone! He said for weeks after that he would run into neighbors asking " Is someone was dynamiting in the area?" I left a couple bottles with him when we were done. He took and bottle a set it next to a groundhog hole in a fence row that evening. He said the following morning when he was getting ready for work he peaked out and there sat the groundhog munching grass beside the bottle. He waited till it got within about a foot from the bottle and shot the bottle! He claimed it thru the groundhog about 10 feet from the hole.

2 lbs this past weekend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wk7Ne_3tjWc |

Quoted: FWIW, Cabela's and Sportsman's Guide sell individual targets if you don't want a full case. Be warned, however, a 1LB target will send the sides of a computer case about 80 yards in each direction... ETA: Star Exploding Targets is the version they sell. I saw those weekend before last. A little expensive, but it's cool if you just want to grab a couple. Are they actually Tannerite(TM) with a different label, or are they just a similar product made by someone else? |
