I showed those videos to my friend a few months ago...now he wants a sledge-hammer with an impact detonated shotgun shell set into the head, magazine fed from the handle.  I think he's a little...off...if he wants to emulate these guys.

Only that was originally for testing the strength of blasting powder.  Time between explosion and anvil hitting the ground is the measure.
