Just a few days ago I had a problem with a spammer using my mail server to relay a ton of spam. The return address the person was using was: vacationtime@excite.com (feel free to speak your mind to him) It seems that when working on my server I forgot to turn off the feature that allows relaying. There must have been over 1000 people on his list, maybe several thousand. A few days later I had some corrupt blocks on my hard drive. I don't know exactly what happened but its fine now. I had to run fsck several times to correct the problem. The block sizes were incorrect. What would cause the block sizes to appear larger than they should be?? Did linux not write some kind of EOF (End of file) marker??
