[ARCHIVED THREAD] - wild rabbit behavior question

Just saw two rabbits in my backyard. One charged the other and the second one jumped straight up in the air to dodge it. They did this at least 3 times.

I think it's how they play. I've seen it many times. It's normal.

Once you see one of those giant rabbit bot fly things come out of a rabbit the only thing you wonder about rabbits is how you can wipe them all off the earth so you don't have to witness anything like that again *shudder*

Whenever I see animals acting weird they are either-

A. Fighting
B. Foreplay to mating

I've seen jackrabbits jump at each other and kick.

oh god I hope not. I haven't baby rabbit proofed my garden fence yet

they had babies two summers ago and most got eaten by a pair of hawks that took up residence in the neighborhood. I was torn, on the one hand the babies were cute, on the other I knew they'd eat my garden which wasn't very big or productive to begin with
