If you are a seller of a particular gun, do you tell a potential buyer that you have other interested parties?
In no circumstances are you lying. There are actual interested parties. If you are a seller, do you appreciate the information or do you think the seller is just trying pressure you? |

Only if they're vacilitating vacilating vacillating wishy-washy about the whole thing. I don't make deals with multiple parties and play one against the other, I might say that someone else called first or that another person is considering it so if they want it buy now.
The first person to make contact has first shot, if they don't come through in a reasonable amount of time (the weekend) I'll go down the list until someone actually puts cash in my hand. But I'm a lousy salesman, I once got kicked off the sales floor of an Best Buy type company I worked for during the busiest time of the year for telling people that Monster Cable is crap. |

Only if there's actually someone about to make the decision. I'll tell the potential buyer that I need to get an answer from one person first, but they're next in line. If you are a seller, do you appreciate the information or do you think the seller is just trying pressure you? I'm guessing your meant buyer here. I appreciate the info if I believe it to be true, but if I think it's just to add pressure I won't buy the gun/item. Highlighting |
