The thread about gas cans in NYC reminded me of something that pisses me the fuck off. Can you still buy real gas cans without that stupid enviro-flow shit on them? The one where you have to hold the button down for the gas to flow. I am thinking of burning it the next time i have a fire.

I have a couple pre-bans.  Whenever I see a garage sale, I look for gas cans.  I've bought 2 right out of people's garages, even when not for sale.

I don't care what those idiots say.  I spill twice as much gas with the new-fangled button crap than I ever did with a straight tube.

Another good option is offroad cans for dirtbikes and stuff.

What pissed me off was the fact that it had no fucking tube. I had to go back and fucking buy one just so i would have a spout on the fucking thing. If this is a treehugger thing i will go outside right now and pour all the gas i have on the ground out of spite.

School me on gas cans you have to hold down a button to flow? I guess the last gas can I bought was late last year and I've never seen one like that. The ones I got are plastic, have a spout on one end with a nozzle that sits on top or can screw inside, and a vent with a popoff deal on the other end.

My little chainsaw can has a snout you push on to get it to flow, but my 5 gallons don't have anything like that.

That type is long gone. Go to WM and look at the new ones.

Look at this shit, you have to slide a little button down and then hold that handle down while pouring gas.

I have only seen ones like that on the very small 1 gallon or smaller size, we buy the 5 gallon ones pretty often for guys to keep in the truck while in the field.

I bought about a 1/2 dozen of the kind with the spount and a vent at the farm supply last fall during hunting season.

Maybe it's a state law deal.

They look just like these, the local farm/logging supply company sells them by the pallet.

Edit - I went out to the barn and looked and they say "Wedco" as the maker on them if that helps anyone.
