I bought a World of Warcraft wireless headset when I was at Fry's last weekend and the sound keeps crackling even after I changed the power settings on my computer. I'm not sure what the issue is, but after I read the reviews- apparently even if I did get it to work, my mic would pick up on everything. http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Labs-Blaster-Warcraft-Wireless/dp/B002L6GCP8
Since I'm going to return this POS to Fry's, does anybody have any good suggestions for a gaming headset –– preferably wireless? I was thinking about a Razer Carcharias or Creative Sound Blaster Arena but I don't think either are wireless. Oh and by the way, I hate planatronics with a passion, don't even try to suggest it :P |

Check out Turtle Beach X31 and X41 I have not had one of their headsets yet but once i find a job will be picking up the X41. Have used their sound cards for a while and always great quality.
check that looks like the X31 and X41 are for Xbox, sure it would work with the right adapters but still. |

^ This. If you're serious about your gaming, then this is the only correct choice. |

most mics will work, but very few will work right out of the box. you'll need to go to your control pannel, open sounds and audio devices, select the voice tab and click test harware button near the bottom, run through the steps and you should be good to go.
one moe important thing, don't ever put the mic right infront of your mouth, breathing on your mic is a big no no, the humidity from your breath will drastically reduce the life span of your mic. |
