My laptop died, again, (stay away from HP) and long story short: It had 2 hard drives. I am wanting to know the best way to recover my data from the one, which was storage data only.   After I remove it, what is the best way to connect it to another computer?

I was thinking something like this SATA to USB 2.0 Enclosure to be able to hook it up to another computer, sort of like an external hard drive. Would that work or would it damage it?

I would go with something like you originally had picked out.  As long as the hard drive is still good (which I'm assuming it is based on the fact that you want the data off of it) you can then use the enclosure in the future as a backup hard drive.

Make sure what type of drive you have before you pick up an enclosure as well. (SATA, IDE, whatever)
