I am officially a nurse.

It has been one hell of a week. I started the week off by accepting a full time RN position with Hospice, followed by resigning from my job of 3 1/2 years. I graduated yesterday and today is my birthday. Nursing school has occupied so much of my time that I have had to abandon ARFCOM, my hobbies, and my family for the past 2 years. It is time to get back to business!

People can say what they want about men in the nursing field.

Frankly, it's almost the only profession left in this economy that still has a "huge demand" for employees.

Good for you, and well done.

It was really a strange feeling. I was recruited for two positions, offered both, and I had to turn one down. How many people these days can say that?

On top of that, it's in huge demand across the nation.

Want to move somewhere?  Chances are that if there's a hospital there all you need to do is show up, say "Hi, I'm an RN and I'd like to work here." and your job search is over.
