You know that? I've been up for 72 hours now, except for about three hours total of naps. I'm tired, but I can't sleep. In a couple hours, I'm going to start chugging coffee so that I can stay awake for my brother's college graduation.
This fucking sucks. I haven't been able to sleep since December, started a new job that has me behind a desk all day instead of on my feet. Even though I've been coming home and taking walks/exercising, I still can't sleep. I've tried (prescribed) pills, the only thing that worked for me was Seroquel, and that left me so hung over the next day that I couldn't function beyond a "window-licker" level. Fuck. I know, weak-ass rant. Fuck off. |

Stop drinking coffee, stop using computers, listening to music or watching TV and stop reading. You have to relearn how to sleep and not let any stimulates affect you. Since you have a few hours before your bros graduation, try to get a nap in. If you need a little coffee before you head out, that might be ok. But, after you get back from your brothers graduation you will need to come home and try to sleep.

are you single? or do you have a long term family wife and kids? Just the wife, no kids. And, yeah, I know all this stuff, tried it too. No joy. I've never slept well, even when I was a kid I only got 3-4 hours a night. It's just particularly annoying/bad right now. |
