Is it as scary as the previews make it out to be? I've had it for like two weeks from netflix... But me and the misses have been scared shit-less to watch it... I'll admit to the hive I'm the biggest chicken when it come to shit like this.... So is it scary? |

It was easily the most retarded 'scary movie' I've ever seen. You'll laugh your way through it rather than be scared. So all the hype was BS.... Another lame bomb I take it? At least I hope so... hate to have to shack up with you, and sleep with the lights on for a week Like I did after watching the exorcist. |
| By the end, I was hoping for the couple to get killed or possessed or something. They were extremely annoying, especially the guy. Seems to be a problem with most horror films I see lately, the characters are so moronic that I can't wait to see them get killed. IMO, the movies would be scarier and have more impact if you could actually care a little bit about the people in it. I know in the typical slasher flicks they probably want you to root for the killer, but it seems like in the movies that are supposed to genuinely scary, they'd want you to care about the victims a little. |

This is exactly why I did not like the movie. Amen. |

Honest to nuts, there were more people laughing during the 'scary' parts than there were people actually scared. By the end of the movie, you're almost rooting for the main characters to die. If you want a scary movie, watch Event Horizon in a dark room with no distractions. |

As far a paranormal activity, it didnt do much for me. As posession movies go get the re-release of the exorcist or the exorcism of emily rose. Both excellent. make your skin crawl, movies. Another good one is prince of darkness |

It wasn't nearly as scary as previews and reviews made it out to be.
As others have said, predictable. More suspense than any scary stuff. I wasn't scared shitless but I got into it a bit. Fourth Kind? Now THAT was bad. Blair Witch? Horrible. Paranormal Activity was at least at least better than those. |
