I have been looking at buying one of these used. I have been doing some searching for reviews and cant find much.
I am sure its a good light but is it worth the weight and cost?  Does anyone have any idea how much battery life one would get using a 225 lumen lamp?
How about possible LED upgrades?

Check out dealextreme they have a ton of led flash lights think of surefire knock offs for dirt cheap. I recently got 2 and they are real good quality super bright and cheap as hell. Its worth a look. I got a 220lumen 5 mode flash light for $11 ..
