If it walks like a duck, acts like a duct, its pretty good guess its a duck.
You all that got butthurt over the 8page thread need to wake up. I dont pick what stererotypes that people get labeled with. Its how the "majority" acts is how they get labeled, yes there are few that dont act a fool, but the few dont make the majority. Im over the PC shit, so im calling like I see it, if someone doesnt like it oh fucking well and boo fucking hoo. Grew up, its a cruel world out there, get use to it. |

Points in case: TEA Parties. Only a fool believes that all tea party members are racists. Are some of them? The good money is on "Yes." And I am a TEA Party member. They are stereotypes for a reason. They exist so people have SOME reason to feel good about themselves. Like the way liberal media portrays Tea Party members. They exist because they are based on real life experiences of people. In your example everyone knows that there are some Tea Party members who are exactly the way the liberal media is portraying the entire group. But if you deny that there are serious issues that need to be addressed in that community, you are also a fool. –– John As far as what I do with those ppl, when they stop running around with blinders on and making excuses than ill pay attention, but when ppl constantly say "Every race has issues" well, sorry its not a 50/50 deal, I posted it in the now locked 8 page thread that if you look at crime statistics, jail statistics, etc etc that things arent equal. Stereotyping is NOT to make me look better, I think some ppl need to look up the definition of that word. It is lumpy a majority of ppl or things into a category, yes there are exceptions, there always way, but in general, as a whole you can lump them. I have yet to see stereotype not be true at some point. I can go in the hood and 1 out of 20 wont be a stererotype. I can go down where the tropicana OJ factory is and stereotype the mexicans, I can go to WV and hit the backwoods and ill find the same there. It is everywhere, but stereotypes are pretty much true to form. The minority of ppl that dont fit those, either got lucky or chose to break away from the mold and better themselves. |

I agree with you on one significant point–– and a point I wanted to make: Having blinders on is probably WORSE than anything else. Its easy to accept Stererotypes when they are against other people... But what about when they are about you? Are all Gunowners ignorant rednecks? Are all Soldiers/Marines dumb bullet catchers to stupid to do any other job? Are all Cops corrupt assholes who like pushing other people around? Are all white people awkward, uptight with tiny dicks and unable to please a woman? I mean come on... Since those are the Stereotype, that must mean it is true for the majority right? Right? |

Sorry but you fail. Do you have actually hard evidence of the above? Probably not. Is there statistics and evidence to back up the fact that Blacks are more likely committ crimes, be on welfare, etc etc. You betcha. Of course there are exceptions, we arent talking about that. Im talking about stereotypes. 1 out of 20 blacks that I run across can actually speak intelligent and hold a job and are respected. If ppl dont want to be stereotyped, then dont fit in that mold that made it that way. If black people wear normal clothes and talk like a normal person, held a job and contributed, guess what, theyd be the exception. But the majority DONT do any of those, they want to blame everyone else for their welfare. Typical mentallity is this: Why did Obama get elected - blacks and everyone else wanted something different and wanted one of their own in there, they have no idea what his qualifications were. Why did people NOT vote for Obama - odds are not due to color, but do to his lack of leadership and experience. I want the best person for the job, one that can do it, I dont care about color. If Condi Rice wouldve ran, Id be the first one in line to vote for her. 1) Gun owners - show me statistics that back up "ignorant redneck", what would it based on? 2) Soldiers - sorry but you have to have higher education and asvabs to get into the militiary, days of them taking anyone and everyone are over, they want quality now 3) Cops - once again corrupt cops are the minority, statistics prove this 4) White people - cant prove or show statistics, maybe take the average white guy dick size and then you could stereotype. |

it doesn't matter what statistics show. A stereotype is what people believe, not necessarily fact. If I grew up around border collies and had a few bite me through out the years then chances are.. I won't like them and I will think they are all mean. That's what happened to pit bulls and why they got such a bad name. I've been around a few and I like them, but the news covers them and people get scared and assume all pit bulls are evil.
statistics are only numbers, you have to leave it up to people to make there own stereotypes from the statistics and past experiences in their lives. |

Do you really believe your own hype? Statistics are FACTS, Stereotyping is based on those FACTS. IF statistics say 1 out 4 blacks will end up in jail. well those numbers had to come from some where. Im guessing 1 OUT OF 4 blacks will committ some kind of crime. As apposed to 1 OUT OF 20 whites committing the same crime. To make matters worse, the government is the ultimate stereotyper, with their BS Census forms, all they need to know is how many ppl live where they do, they dont need to know race. |
