I know this has been discussed before but with the current abysmal employment situation, do you think NAFTA should be repealed?

I'm beginning to waver on my usual answer of "NO".

I'm not so sure any longer.

No.  As long as the free trade works both ways.

Trade restrictions make the country imposing them irrelevant in the world economy.

Yeah, that's how I always felt.  I'm just having doubts now because of the huge employment problem.

Yes NAFTA should be dumped.  It only benefits those doing the trading and the

US manufacturing jobs are eliminated which is a main cause of our cash in the economy to

evaporate. Thats why we have to keep on printing money to fill the cash void.

In other words, the money is leaving the US and not recirculating here.   This situation is only

temporary. It can only get worse for American workers.  The loss of factory jobs in the US is

a gaurenteed failure of the US econmy for a very large percentage of Americans. As usual, only

the wealthy, Democrat or Republican, benefit.  We, the American people, are being forced to

accept a society with two classes now.  The huge middle class of the 50s and 60s is quickly

evaporating creating a huge and pissed off poor class.  Thats my take on it.   The election

of Obama is just a smoke screen for continuation of the same old game.  So yes, trash

NAFTA.  Even Bill Clinton said exactly this just a few days ago.

What do you think caused a lot of this lack of jobs situation?

We have much less manufacturing going on in this country.

Many people think that there are only people who work in offices.

I really feel we import a hell of a lot more than we export.

Im not sure but I think I saw last year that China only buys a TENTH

1/10 of what we buy from them.  Thats why some rules with trading

are important.   This cant even be called trade if they dont buy our goods.

Its lunacy.
