Last week I bought an AR stripped lower with the idea of building it piece by piece over a several month period. With the idea of not tripping the wifes credit card radar too badly.
Well I looked at that lower for a few days and couldn't stand it any longer. So last Monday I ordered a 16" midlength upper from Bravo Co. along with a Stag arms lower parts kit. The wife isn't going to be happy. when she finds out. So UPS says it's out for delivery today,fantastic I'm off today. Now I'm waiting for the driver to get here. If the wife or kids order something that guy gets here by 2 P.M. if I order something he get's here around 6 P.M. Why the hell can't he get here before the wife gets home from work. When the door bell rings and one of the kids gets to the door before I do and they drag in a 3 foot box the wife is going to be all over it. I'm fooked

LOL. My UPS guy shows up after 7pm without fail. Sometimes my wife hides the package to watch me keep going back and forth to the door to see if it has arrived. She cant get mad because we are pretty responsible with our money. If I don't have the cash I can't afford it.

My most recent order was delayed because the "normal driver" was on vacation and the "new driver" didn't know how to get to my apartment complex. He called me, I gave him directions, he never got here. I checked my UPS tracker and it had gone back to the warehouse.
He was within 2 miles of my apartment when he called. I don't even live in the boondocks or anything. Infuriating!! I feel ya OP |

Well that would take all of the sport out of it......
Absolutely!! It's a race to get home as me and the missus both get off work at 1700 and work equidistant from home. Sometimes she gets the drop on me, sometimes I get the drop on her when she orders something. UPS always delivers here around 1300-1330. So it sits till one of gets home. Sometimes she hides my goodie package, sometimes I hide hers. It's all in fun. Neither of us go hog wild ordering stuff online. It's usually penny ante stuff. Nothing large. She did order a new lap top she had been wanting. I got the drop on her a few days before Christmas and wrapped it in wrapping paper and put it under the tree. She busted out laughing when she unwrapped it and it was still in the original box it was shipped in. She has gotten me before. Hid 2 packages. 1 from Magpul and one from Bravo Co in one week. She hid them under the bed till I asked about them. |
