So my second Fenix just crapped out, this is now 2 switches that have failed.
The TSA confiscated my Maratac AAA which I love so I'll be ordering another one of those for the key chain. Some requirements I'd like to see: Uses single AA. Has various outputs. Under $50.

Their quality is better than Fenix and the low is much lower. The AA regular is one I am looking at as I already have the 2AA regular. I travel for a living and have had more than one flashlight in my carry on baggage for the last 10 years. How they fuck did they justify taking your maratac? Same variety of outputs but longer lasting. Uses single AA Battery.

I have seen the AA lights and was honestly not very impressed with the fit and finish at all. The quark lights made me happy enough to have just ordered 2 more and am thinking about a couple more already. I am sure the maratac lights work just fine. I gave all of the Maratac AAA lights I bought away because the heads were too loose. The threads were way too loose. |

I have a E01 and a LD01 in AAA but, are really no comparison next to the Maratac AAA. The LD01 Q5 is equal to the maratac for brightness and better constructed. I have both. I took some pictures of the beams side by side, but they didn't turn out very well. Wonder where that ITP AAA went (same as the maratac)? I am probably going to order the Quark AA regular next month. The switches in the link I posted above are the correct switches for both of your lights at $6 each. Makes sense to switch them out if you are inclined to fix your own stuff. Not sure what the shipping would be, but I would bet its not bad. |
