Do you ever feel like you don't fit in, anywhere? Do you always feel like everybody else has some kind of rule book or manual that you never got? When you are in a group situation and it ends do you always watch everyone else go somewhere else together or pair off and you are left there, alone?

Hi there!

You do understand we are not talking about actual 'tards here, right? For instance I myself have an IQ much higher than average. Yet, I'm still a "social" retard. Or perhaps, because of it!

Where the hell do you even have a "proper" IQ test done? Can you just walk into the psych department of a college and ask for one?

The older I get the more I wish I could live like that. Always been around friends and family all my life.

Now I want to sit in a quiet house and not hear a sound. Go the heck away. Is quiet too much to ask for?

To those of you who live this way not by choice, I envy you at times.

One of my earlies memories: I was about eight years old or so, going to Sunday School. There was this thing they set up to measure your progress: a wooden frame with vertical wires. On each wire was a golden paper star that represented each student; the more you progressed, the higher the star would be slid up the wire. My star never moved; I had no idea why.

This had been the immutable pattern of my life.

Hi there!

I always fit in really well at first.
People just love the way I speak my mind and "tell it like it is"

That is until I hit too close to home, then I'm an idiot who thinks he knows everything

Being right will only get you so far

Sounds like Asberger's Syndrome. No big deal. Most of society sucks anyway so you aren't missing much. I wish I had a legitimate excuse for ignoring people.

Yes, but I deliberately studied the behavior of others and learned to mimic it convincingly. Most of the time.

I know a rather brilliant young man, (a distant relative), who was held back a year in Kindergarten as a child. I'm pretty sure he was just too smart to fit in with the rest of the herd, not too stupid.

I generly can fit in most places, strike up a

But

I generally choose to Not join groups etc.

Truth is I'm pretty tired of people.

People don't like to hang out with people who are smarter than them.  Smart people know when the bullshit is getting deep.

Personally I hate talking about sports,  drinking,  who is banging who,  etc.  Especially from annoying wannabes who never played sports,  etc.  If you start talking about  work, cars,  motorcycles or guns  and what you have done with them most people get a blank look.  They can't comprehend what you are talking about.

It hurts their brain and makes them crazy and violent toward you.

Why do you have to ask him? It should be obvious.
