How often do you or your SO make the bed?

As a kid my parents made me make my bed, had to do it in the .mil too.  Now I never do it.  When I was single I'd only do it if I my place got so messy I'd go into a cleaning frenzy.  Or when something would happen like pulling a girl back from the bar who was on the rag on, forcing me to wash my sheets the next day.  Now that I'm in a relationship the bed is still never made.  The gf will make the bed in the occasional cleaning frenzy or when guests come over.

Honestly, I kinda prefer it not made since when it is I gotta throw off like 5 pillows and the top blanket anyways.  So I'm glad its never made, but I'm curious about how often others make their beds.

About every other week.

I make it every morning before I work out.  Need to have a freshly made bed to rest my morning attire.

Change the sheets every few weeks, but I almost never make the bed up perfectly. At most, I just throw the quilt on top so the dogs don't get muddy.

Never, wash bedding and pillows once a week but never make it. No point.

I never make the bed.   It's pointless.   I do, however, change the sheets about once a week.

My wife makes the bed every week day and washes the sheets once a week.  I make the bed on weekends.

Almost every day.

I make it about 90% of the time.  Otherwise the 5 million pillows I have for it would just sit in the floor.

The wife and I almost never make the bed. The only times it happens really are when we have guests, or if we clean. We do wash the linens every week or two. We have this giant collection of pillows that go on top of it that just sit in a pile on the floor because the bed is never made.

I don't bother.  I do almost obsessively wash the bed sheets though.  Funky bed sheets =

Every day. It just doesn't feel the same when I get back in to go to sleep if its not made.

probably every other day... I never make the bed, usually because I'm the first one out of it, and she's still in it when I go to work.

When I was still single, it was every day, but after I got home from work/class.

I never "make" the bed.  My wife leaves the house just before I get up.  We straighten the bed before we get in it at night - pull the sheets tight and fluff the pillows.  It usually gets made on the weekends (by her) when we get up at the same time.  She accepts the fact that I will not make the bed.

About once a week, when I change the sheets.

The bed is made everyday, whoever gets up last makes the bed. Soon she will be making the bed everyday, as I will be gone.

I refuse to make the bed.

1.  No one besides me and her will see it...
2.  I'm just going to mess it up again anyway...
3.  I refuse to put 30 pillows on the bed so it will 'look nice' refer to #1
4.  i hate having the foot of the sheet tucked in...which she does anyway and i pull it out every night when i get into bed

She makes the bed every day.  Or used to....there has been a few days lately where she doesn't.  If she wants to make it, i have no problem with that.  It makes her happy, and so long as she doesn't expect me to do it, more power to her.

Wife and I change the sheets and make the bed whenever it gets funky, it's easier with two people. We shake the blankets out to get them straight to sleep under before we go to sleep but after we mess them up.

When I was single living the college life, I made the bed everyday. You never know when you'll bring someone home and need someplace to rest. Plus I almost never had to leave the house before 9 or 10 am.

Now that I am married I will throw the covers back, so with the comforter, it looks made.

Change the sheets every week.  Most days the bed gets made up but if I just plain don't have time, I don't worry about it.

My wife is OCD about the bed. It has to be made perfect everyday with the pillows in the right spot and equal amounts of blanket hanging off the sides.

Are you asking about making the bed or changing the sheets.  You seem to think they're one and the same.

Not exactly.  For me making the bed just means making the bed, as in just tucking the sheets in, making it look nice and what not.

Whenever I change/clean the sheets though, I never just throw them on, I will put them on and tidy it up.

So changing the sheets involves making the bed, but making the bed does not involve changing the sheets.
