I've seen these before at the gun show:

How much? I'm not sure. This looks like the manufacturer's website. I suppose you'd have to find a distributor or retailer to get a price (if they are even imported here). Still, it looks like it would be a heck of a lot of fun to put on a paintball gun.
Really nice (1080 hdmi) mountain bike helmet cams are the same size, and only cost 200-300 bucks. Those cameras are designed to be beaten to hell, and the vibration they can take is amazing, all while producing true HD footage. If the "gun cam" is too much more than 300 bucks, it aint worth it. |
| Requiring cops to have those on their guns would be retarded. Stupid addition of weight and bulk that would just get in the way. Plus, if it was ever broken or not working during a shooting, everyone would be crying for the officers blood and ignoring all other evidence. |

Interestingly, Tactical Electronics makes a version of that gun cam.
http://www.tacticalelectronics.com/index.php?page=vgs5 They don't list this on their website, but they also make a pretty neat cam that mounts as a splitter onto your regular optics. The version I saw was mounted on an ACOG. It mounts to the ocular side, you look through it and sight normally, but their device splits the image off and routes it to the camera. The camera gets exactly what you see looking through the optic (reticle and all), so if you had a heads up display or video goggles you could aim with the camera. Unfortunately, they won't do business with us normal folk. (hell, they wouldn't do business with the company I work for, which is involved with building shit for LE. they were pretty rude too) |

Camera Worth Buying wanted one for years. I have been using the VholdR 1080p HD cam now for 5 months, had to have a custom mount made but it works well. For the money its a great buy. BEWARE, xfering video with it is a bit tricky, I erased some video by accident trying to import with imovie. |
