how do i zero my ar if the rear sight does not have a 3/8 instead it has a 6/3 ?

Uh, that would be 3/6. The 3 is the same.
Both get BZOd with the elevation at 3. This will be a 300 yard zero. -2 clicks down will give you 200 yards.

Yup, I expanded on my above post. Carbines have a shorter effective range therefore the rear sight elevation goes to 6 instead of 8, which represents the maximum effective range on an area target of 600 yards and 800 yards respectively.

it does not go any lower than the 300 yard setting

Grab an allen wrench and google, it'll go lower than 3.
