My mom came down with double vision...not sure what the problem is, but she was seeing double of EVERYTHING. She makes about 25k a year and has no medical insurance. She was referred to some high priced specialist, and she told them her situation. So far, the doctor has absolutely refused to take any payment from her, and the receptionist told her they were under strict orders from the Dr.'s wife to give her everything she wanted for FREE. If I hadn't had my tear ducts surgically removed, I'd shed a tear. It goes to show there are still some people with decency left in this country. We don't need the government to take care of us. We can manage just fine. The double vision seems to be going away as well. God is merciful. |

After 6 months of unemployment I got a Job, And the pay is better than expected. Congratulations! That's great. I hope later today to hear that after nearly 18 months my sisters hubby is employed, but nothing yet. I hope this is a sign that the economy is improving in spite of the Dipshit. In a couple of weeks they are going to try an epidural steroid injection between C4 and C5 (I think) for a squished doohickey. After 3 years of anti-fucking-depressants because the goddamn docs thought I was a basket case, a student/resident/whatchacall'em thought to do a CAT scan and found an actual physical problem. Then maybe I can go through the exciting process of getting off of painkillers. Hey, to me that IS good news! |
