I would like to hear how people manage their crap on  trips to the range in situations where you can't park your vehicle close to the line.

My shooting club had to move from a situation where you could park right behind the line to where you have to cart your crap a few hundred or so yards,
far enough that going back to the car amd staging off the talgate doesn't work very well.  I've been using a tote, hand truck and brief case (and rifle cases etc)
and i find that even though i try to pack all my shit nice and tidy, by the end of a couple hours shooting i have a big pile of shit.  I've been fumble-fucking around
with this since last summer and i'm not satisfied with the results.

Right not i fieel like a moron.  wind blew over my brief case, blew my shit over the firing line....   At least i was the only guy using that range.   pix appreciated.

plus side: i had a lot of fun today anyway.

edited subect to make it obvious i was asking questions

I saw this from RLR350 and I'm working on one like it for a range kit.

I usually just use a messenger bag or something to put most of the crap in. Another small duffel holds the PVC pipe I use as a target stand when assembled (see Old Painless' target stand thingie on his box-o-truth). It might take a trip or two from the car to get everything there, but you can pretty much fit everything you need (ammo, targets, tape, first aid kit, ear protection, little debbie snack cakes, 1.21 gigawatts, a bottle of water) in a decently-sized bag.

I have lots of range bags.  LA Police gear is constantly giving away "range bags" or "active shooter bags" or "bail out bags."  It seems like every time I order a pair of pants I get some new bag.  I tailor what I stow in each bag, and how many bags to bring, depending on the length and goals of the range trip.

Just go to walmart and buy a bag that has about three big main pockets and a bunch of little ones.

http://www.planomolding.com/fall/products.asp  and search for sportsmans trunk   or 1819 xxl storage trunk( sorry no way to link it directly). It's made by the company that makes plastic tool boxes. It has wheels on it.  Just wish it had a protruding handle.   It's what I use.

Small world: i was talking about 3-gun with the former mayor of Plano at the range yesterday.      I saw a nice Plano box of some kind at Menards last night.  Looked like it would fit in a little red wagon, which they also sell.  The Plano factory and outlet store is about 5 miles off my route to the range, keep meaning to stop by.
