Management, including State licensed hunting and bag limits for wolves, is a good measure in controlling the population. And property owners have the right to defend their property, livelihoods, and people (family, friends, etc) from wolves. But outright extermination is a questionable solution. |

I don't have a horse in this race since I live PA, but the varmint hunters who live in those states say they can really damage the big game populations as well as livestock. You had better keep a real close eye on your young children if you know a pack is local. The wolves are bold around humans since they haven't felt any real hunting pressure yet. I think if I had a ranch there maybe I would just shoot some big feral 'dogs' and follow the 3S rule.
